Another Day another Euro...

So last night I hung out with the brothers Limon again and plodded around different bars. Mostly uneventful except at a place called Scholars, which was definetly an american undergrad bar, a guy from villanova got real drunk and wanted to fight someone inside the bar, but instead he just punched some other kid in the face on the street and messed him up pretty good. Before i went out though i  came back to campus to watch this documentary on Hitler's state visit to Rome in 1938. One of the professors here helped to make it so ofered alot of insight. It was interesting as he was showing how Mussolini technically ranked lower than the king and so had to walk behind him and Hitler when they were together, much to the chagrin of Hitler who wanted Mussolini more powerful. It also talked about all the high ranking dignitaries who refused to meet and greet with Hitler, including the pope at the time. Further, it also showed ways in which the italian king (Victor EmmanueleIII) snubbed Hitler, such as flying the flags of certain regions rather than the fascist flag, or having his troops where stars instead of fascist symbols and other small things that certainly would have been missed by the causual observer. The professor certainly had a strong bias though, one comment he made after a scene of thousands of italians waving swastika flags on the streets, was that the italians showed up more to show their support for Mussolini if tensions rose between germany and italy, they would il duce's back. Bullshit, they loved hitler and fascism. He tried to make it seem as though italy was unwittingly drawn into the war, i called shenanigans on that.
Today I had the class where they were going to try to make an example out of me. I nailed it, blew everyone away, especially because the parts i talked about compared to what he talked about were alot clearer. The class is taught by 2 teachers, 1 i had for contracts and her husband. Shes very good and i liked contracts alot, he sucks. He may be a good lawyer but his pedogogy is terrible. Its been a while since i've seen bad teaching an i forgot how much i despise it as well as how much of an art it can be. I can tell he is only 3 pages of the class and has little to no experience. So many rookie mistakes.
For lunch today i got an excellent panino and a beer and chilled in piazza del popolo, i'll post some pics later as i dont have my camera cord with me at school. Tonight is the mexican's last night so i'm going to hang out with them one last time. We did get an e-mail that the maid was mad that cesar had been using his own towel instead of the ones provided, cant say i fully grasp what the heck they are talking about.
