Dragon Bridge in Slovenia, legend has it that if Virgins walk by the dragons, their tails will wag. The city claims the dragon after a fable in which Jason of the Argonauts, after having received the golden fleece, found and killeda dragon in the river that Slovenia is founded on.
Hero square in Budapest, THe figures around the base of the monument represent the 7 tribes that were unitted in 1000 common era, on top of the column is the arch-angle gabrial delivering the crown to Hungarians or magyars in their own language. The figures i nthe back are famous kings and heros. THe one on the far left is a monk that brought christianity to Hungary, but unforutuneately the pagan tribes put him in a barrel and rolled him off a huge hill to his death. The second is St. Steven the first king and the others are all important in their own way for various deeds, alot are dedicated to ridding hungary of the turks.

Fisherman's bastion, there are 7 towers to represent the tribes, and i think some fisherman defended thecity here in an Alamo kind of situation.
Painted ceramic tiles are the "style" of Hungary.

Here is the big meeting room inside parliment.
This tank is to commemorate the 1956 uprising against communist rule started by manyhungarians. Its in the "State Torture Museum" which was pretty cool. Along the back wall are pictures of victims from both the Nazi occupation and then the Soviet Occupation. THe musuem was pretty sweet, it was a much morem odern museum than any other I can ever recall having been to. Lots of multimedia.
